These standards are designed to improve fuel efficiency and decrease pollution in an effort to protect the environment. The final standards should lower CO2 commissions by 1.1 billion metric tons.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel costs savings are expected to be $170 billion.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Addressing Climate Change:  Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards for Heavy Duty Vehicles\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-v2HLpV7f68?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The program will promote cleaner and more efficient trucks with cost-effective technologies.
