{"id":1585,"date":"2016-04-01T07:51:57","date_gmt":"2016-04-01T11:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/transcourt.com\/?p=1585"},"modified":"2025-04-30T16:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T20:00:00","slug":"the-ups-and-downs-of-the-dry-bulk-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transcourt.com\/fr\/2016\/04\/the-ups-and-downs-of-the-dry-bulk-business\/","title":{"rendered":"The ups and downs of the dry bulk business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Oakville, April 1, 2016<\/em> &#8211; The trucking industry has seen an increasing demand for dry bulk trailers, but that doesn\u2019t necessarily mean you should be adding them to your fleet just yet.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, there has been a rise in the number of dry bulk being transported across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the natural gas boom, tons upon tons of sand needed hauling in order to enable the fracturing part of hydraulic fracturing \u2013 commonly referred to as fracking. This resulted in the increasing need for dry bulk trailers.<\/p>\n<p>Jay Morfitt, director of North American Sales and Marketing for Heil Trailer International, stated the demand for such trailers increased in September 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, demand created by the fracking industry has fallen as a result of natural gas prices.
